Next steps

We will investigate every report we receive. However, we won't update you on the outcome unless you give us permission to contact you.

We handle all fraud investigations professionally and in line with relevant laws, including the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and the Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act 1998. When necessary, we work with other government departments such as the Police, Department for Work and Pensions, Home Office, HM Revenues and Customs, and other local authorities.

If an allegation falls under another department’s jurisdiction, we may refer it to them for further investigation.
