Planning and development

Our planning department has two main parts:

Strategic Planning - This team creates and reviews planning policies and guidance on development - proposals for planning permission are assessed against these. They focus on long-term land use planning of the borough.
Development Management - This team handles the day-to-day decisions on individual planning applications. They make sure that each new development follows the strategic plan.
