Minimum energy efficiency standards for the private rented sector
Since April 2020, all rental properties must have a minimum Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E under the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015.
The minimum required rating:

A home must have an EPC rating when it is built, sold or let. If you're a landlord, check your property's EPC rating to see if upgrades are necessry.
