Making your home more energy efficient provides big benefits. It helps reduce your carbon footprint - a key step in tackling the climate emergency - while also saving you hundreds of pounds on energy bills. Plus, it keeps your home warmer, healthier, and more comfortable.
Homes are ranked for energy efficiency using Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), rated from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). If your home has been rented or sold in the past 10 years, you can check its EPC rating online through the Government's EPC web page.
In Dacorum, about two thirds of homes have an EPC rating below C, meaning most could benefit from improvements to boost energy efficiency. Find out more below:
