Appeal a planning decision
If we turn your application down, you can challenge our decision.
Contact the case officer
- Get in touch with the case officer who processed your application. You can find their contact details on your online application.
- Discuss whether objections can be overcome through negotiation.
- If possible, submit a revised application.
Appeal the decision
If an agreement isn't possible, you can appeal.
How long you have to appeal
- Householder applications: within 12 weeks from the decision date.
- Most other cases: within six months from the decision date.

You can make an appeal, comment on an appeal or search for a planning decision or notice on the Government website.
