We are excited to announce the launch of the Dacorum Creative Showcase, a celebration of local arts, culture and heritage taking place from 24 May to 29 June 2025. The programme will feature a wide range of creative and heritage activities delivered by organisations across the borough - all open to the community.

Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), the Dacorum Creative Showcase highlights the area’s thriving arts and heritage scene. It aims to promote local creative organisations, encourage participation in free and low-cost activities, and offer residents opportunities to engage with culture in ways that support wellbeing and community connection.

The six-week programme includes theatre performances, exhibitions, concerts, and a variety of creative workshops. With events suitable for all ages, the Showcase provides something for everyone - whether enjoying a live performance, exploring local history, or taking part in hands-on creative activities.

The initiative was shaped by local feedback gathered during the development of Dacorum’s new Arts and Culture strategy in autumn/winter 2024. Residents expressed a strong interest in more accessible arts activities and a more coordinated approach to promoting what’s happening locally. The Dacorum Creative Showcase was created in response to this need.

Cllr Adrian England, our Portfolio Holder for Place, said: “The Dacorum Creative Showcase is a deliberate move to bring shape and style to Dacorum, bringing our communities and characters together to celebrate the incredible creativity and heritage we have on our doorstep.

"We’re proud to support the artists, organisations and volunteers who make Dacorum’s towns and neighbourhoods more distinctive and more attractive.”
