Join the Regulation 19 consultation on our draft Local Plan

We are inviting residents, businesses, and stakeholders to participate in a Regulation 19 consultation on our draft Local Plan. This crucial step allows you to provide feedback on the plan's legal compliance and alignment with national planning policies.
The draft Local Plan outlines proposals for housing, employment, infrastructure, and environmental protection within the borough for the period up to 2041. It aims to balance the needs of a growing population while preserving local character and heritage.
The consultation is an opportunity to shape Dacorum's future development and follows extensive public input gathered from three previous consultations held in 2017, 2020, and 2023.
How to participate
Online: Visit our Let's Talk Dacorum website to view the draft Local Plan and submit comments.
In person:Paper copies of the draft Local Plan are available to view at the following locations during the consultation period:
- Dacorum Borough Council Offices - for opening times, visit our Contact us page
- Local libraries within the borough - for opening times, visit Hertfordshire County Council's website
Consultation period: Monday 4 November 2024 to midday on Tuesday 17 December 2024.
