Before reporting damp or mould in your council home, please try these steps to prevent it.

Report damp and mould in your home

If the problem persists after following these steps, call 0800 018 6050 to report it.

What happens next

  • We will assess your case and arrange for an officer to visit and investigate the issue
  • Urgent cases will be inspected within 48 hours
  • Non-urgent cases will be inspected within 7 days
  • We give priority to older people, disabled people, pregnant women, and families with children aged under five.

Repairs

Once we identify the cause, we will carry out the necessary repairs, as stated in your tenancy agreement.

We aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible. However, timeframes may vary depending on the severity or complexity of the issue.

If the damp or mould returns, call us again, and we will send an officer to re-assess and make further repairs.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how long it’s taking to fix the issue or the quality of the repair work, call our repairs contractor on 0800 018 6050 or submit a formal complaint.
