Charges

Standard rate

Weekly rent (1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026):

*VAT is not charged to tenants but applies to all other applicants.

Higher rate

We charge a higher rate for garages in high-demand areas:

  • Hemel Hempstead: Allandale, Anchor Lane, Figtree Hill, Hammer Lane, Spring Lane
  • Berkhamsted: Chaucer Close, Douglas Gardens, Hilltop Road
  • Kings Langley: Beechfield
  • Tring: Eight Acres

*VAT is not charged to tenants but applies to all other applicants.

If you are a Dacorum Borough Council tenant or leaseholder and rent more than two garages, VAT will be payable on any further rentals.

Payments

You must make payment by Direct Debit.

Please note: Direct Debit rent calculations will be charged over 48 weeks for the 12 months in 2025-2026.

Council tenants can link their garage rent to their house account. We will reject your application if you have outstanding tenancy arrears with us. You must clear the arrears first.
