Additional Restrictions Grant

Updated 21 March 2022

Applications for this scheme are now closed.

In addition to the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grants (OHLG) the Government has also allocated further Additional Restrictions Grants (ARG), which will be administered by local authorities.

This grant, which has been designed to support those who may have missed out on the OHLG, is discretionary, with each local authority setting individual criteria based on those who have demonstrated the greatest need and received less support than other sectors.

Even if your business has previously received a COVID-19 business grant, the Government has said that you will need to make a new application to receive payment for this round of ARG.

How much will I get?

The amount paid to each business will be dependent on the number of applications received. This means we will not be able to make any payments until after the application closing date. We do not expect any business to receive less than £1,000.

Which businesses qualify for this grant?

The grant is being extended to include personal care businesses and gyms/sports providers where physical exercise or training is carried out on an individual or group basis.
